Aluminum Alloys

Aluminum alloys are alloys in which aluminum is the dominant metal among a combination of various metals. Taber manufactures aluminum alloys for wrought and casting purposes that are both heat-treatable and non-heat-treatable. Aluminum alloys that are cast have the ability to create products that are very cost-effective because of the low melting point. Broadly used in engineering systems and applications which require lightweight or corrosion-resistant characteristics, aluminum alloys are the preferred choice for innumerable industry applications.

Taber offers the full range of aluminum alloys for all of our aluminum shapes, including hard, soft, marine, and armor grade alloys. Need specific metal fabrication? We also offer custom chemistries to meet your unique needs. All of our alloys are processed at our billet casting facility in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Cast House

The Full Range of Alloys. Without the Middle Man.

Our casthouse is in-house. That’s right, no middle man. That means savings for you. Saving time, saving money, and saving hassle. We offer the full range of aluminum alloys, too, so you can be sure that we’ll have the right aluminum chemistry for your next extrusion project. And because we control our billet casting, we have greater flexibility in our casting chemistries. The alloys from our castings serve a wide array of industries such as:

• Marine/Ship Building • Defense • Commercial and Industrial Construction • Electrical Motor Housings • Power Supply Heat Sinks • Aircraft Maintenance Work Platforms • Commercial Greenhouses • General Distribution
